639 Tottenham High Road, London
This building was fire damaged during the 2011 London riots. It was used by the local council building control department but was left vacant pending repairs. The greater London Authority took possession of the building to turn it into a community Centre providing start up business space for young people in the area.
The project involved the replacement of the main boiler plant, additions to the radiator heating system and new water and drainage services for new sanitary accommodation. The building was extensively rewired, new fire alarm system and access control. The project is due to be completed mid 2013. This project was undertaken in collaboration with Mesh Projects Ltd.
